Jay Lehr, PhD, science director for the Heartland Institute, spoke to the Institute for Private Enterprise in Australia Aug. 7, 2009. The television program LateLine, produced by the Australian Broadcasting Co., covered the event, and later broadcast a report that by TV standards was satisfactory in that some of Dr. Lehr’s comments were kept in tact. But missing was his humor, the scientific substance of his argument and his key conclusions.
